Anson leads the Safety, Security and Crisis management functions in SMRT in partnership with all the Divisions and Business Units to achieve a safe and reliable transport system and environment. He forges close collaboration with relevant management agencies, regulators and ministries to provide adequate operational and strategic risk assurance to the Management and Board Committees. With more than 29 years of experience with the Singapore Armed Forces, with competencies in threat analysis, development of security and crisis management plans, he was previously Head of the General Staff Inspectorate responsible for the Army’s safety system and operational readiness. A graduate from the Advanced Infantry Course, Fort Benning, Georgia, USA, Singapore Command and Staff College, and the College of Defence Studies (CDS), National Defence University (NDU), People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China, Beijing,Anson also holds a Master of Education from Monash University with distinction in Policy, Leadership and Change Management.
